My name is Sherrie Cason, and I am the proud mother behind Rel’s Selfie Studio.

​

This business was born from the deepest place in my heart—a mother’s love for her son.

​

In 2025, my world changed in a way I never could have imagined. My son, Rel, passed away unexpectedly.

​

Rel was bright. He was full of life. He had dreams, hopes, and plans for his future. One thing he would often say was that he was going to start his own business someday. I never knew that one day I would be the person standing here, bringing his dream to life. But I am.

 

Rel’s Selfie Studio is his dream, carried forward through my hands.

 

Before Rel passed, I spent his entire life doing something I never realized would become so important to me—I took pictures.

Thousands of them.

 

I photographed the big moments and the little ones. I scheduled yearly family pictures. I captured birthdays, holidays, smiles, laughter, milestones, and ordinary days that I didn't know would one day become extraordinary memories.

I even have photographs that tell the story of Rel’s life from the time I was pregnant with him through the final weeks of his life.

Two weeks before he passed, I was still taking pictures.

​

Today, those photographs are among my most treasured possessions.

​

Because when someone you love is no longer here, you realize that a photograph is so much more than an image.

It becomes a piece of them you can still hold.

​

I can look at a photograph of Rel and remember his smile. I can remember where we were. I can remember how I felt. For a moment, I can go back to a place that time can never take away from me.

​

That is the magic of photography, and that is why I created this studio.

​

I know that professional photography can be expensive, and I believe every family deserves the opportunity to capture the people and moments they love without feeling that beautiful memories are out of reach.

​

God gave me a gift for creativity and design, and He gave me the opportunity to transform my own garage into something meaningful—not only for me, but for my community.

With four seasonal or holiday backdrops available during your one-hour studio rental, you have a beautiful space to create photographs that are uniquely yours.

But to me, this has never been just about taking pictures.

It's about capturing the moments we don't realize we'll one day wish we could relive.

It's about the mother who wants pictures with her children.

The grandparents who want to freeze a moment with their grandchildren.

The couple celebrating another year together.

The family gathering for a holiday.

The birthday that deserves to be remembered.

The ordinary Tuesday that, years from now, may become one of the most precious memories of all.

I created Rel’s Selfie Studio because I learned the hard way that tomorrow is never promised.

So while we have today, let's capture it.

Because someday, that photograph may be more valuable than we ever imagined.

Every time someone steps into this studio and captures a moment with the people they love, a small part of Rel’s dream continues to live.

This is my son’s legacy.

This is how I honor him.

This is how I keep his dream alive.

And this is how, through the pain of losing him, I found a way to help other people hold onto the people and moments they love.
